The EPUBLab API is coming

The public EPUBLab API is not open yet: today the engine's API is used only by this website. When it opens it will convert PDFs to EPUB with the same engine, billed per page.

What the API does (internal version today)

  • POST /v1/conversions with the PDF: creates a conversion job (optionally only some pages, with a page limit and a priority).
  • GET /v1/conversions/{id}: the job's state, page count, warnings and report.
  • GET /v1/conversions/{id}/download: a signed, short-lived link to the EPUB.
  • DELETE /v1/conversions/{id}: cancels the job and deletes the original and the result.
  • Signed webhooks when a job finishes; an idempotency key so a retry never creates two jobs.

Per converted page. Rates to be confirmed before the API opens.
